Man was found dead under U-Haul Truck in East Elmwood — Winnipeg¬†

The homicide unit is taking over an investigation after a man’s body was found underneath a truck in the city northeast on Monday morning.

Officers said police and the WPG fire paramedic service and officers were called to the 130 block of Clyde Road around 9:45 a.m. as there was a reports of an injured man who was underneath a U-haul/Cargo-style truck.

Once police and paramedics were on the scene, they determined that the man was dead and the homicide unit was called in to take over in the investigation.

Winnipeg police identified the man as 35-year-old Lionel Sherwin Colomb. This marks the 42nd homicide in the city of Winnipeg in 2022.
